Interpreting in Cases of Domestic Violence
22 February 2020 @ 09:00 - 12:30
This workshop will explore the critical role of interpreters interacting with survivors of domestic violence in various settings (legal, medical, law enforcement, etc.). We will introduce the dynamics of domestic violence and resources available to survivors of domestic violence that interpreters should be aware of. This presentation will be put on by Casa de Esperanza, a national Latina domestic violence organization with over 35 years of experience supporting immigrant survivors of domestic violence in the Twin Cities metro area.
