Model European Union Strasbourg 2020

Around 200 young people from around Europe and beyond get together during one week in spring to slip into the roles of MEPs, Ministers, Journalists, Interest Representatives and, of course, Interpreters. They debate real-life Commission proposals and playfully learn more about the European institutions. Especially for young interpreters, this conference simulation is a unique opportunity to spend 5 days in the booth and practice their skills with other buddying interpreters in a safe environment and under the guidance of experienced professional interpreters who support them in their preparation and interpretation as Chefs d’Équipe both before and during the conference.
Every year, some 20 to 30 young interpreters get the chance to gain experience this way.
