Medical and Pharmaceutical Interpreting

12 February 2020 @ 18:00 - 18:30

Two of the most pre-eminent practitioners in the field will talk about the opportunities and challenges of medical and pharmaceutical conference interpreting and the kind of training required. Kirsty Heimerl-Moggan and Summer Mouallem are both experienced medical and pharmaceutical interpreters.

There are large amounts of work for interpreters in the medical and pharmaceutical market, such as medical conferences on topics such as cardiology and diabetes, investigator meetings, medical market research or medical training courses on new technologies and treatments.

The InterpMeds team presents and trains interpreters (experienced and budding) and will be sharing their experience on Medical and Pharmaceutical Conference Interpreting with the ITI London Regional Group. They will give an insight into the prerequisites for and the work of medical and pharmaceutical interpreters and offer useful advice, hints and tips related to their work.
