Interpreters’ Development Network: Interpreting, confidentiality and social media

12 March 2020

Confidentiality is a fundamental pillar of the interpreter’s profession. It features prominently in the Codes of Ethics and Codes of Conduct of virtually every national and international interpreters’ association. And yet, interpreters publish photos of themselves on the job every day on social media.

Sarah Cuminetti, a quality-certified professional conference interpreter, will share the results of her research and will talk about whether images posted on social media contribute to the interpreter’s professional standing, attract new clients or might be harmful to your reputation as a professional interpreter. Join us for this webinar on Thursday 12th March at 4 pm.
