SCIC24 : Interpretation – The Added Value to The Profession

The twenty-fourth edition of the SCIC-Universities conference will focus on the added value of multilingualism and accessibility through interpretation.
As usual, the Young Interpreters Award will be part of the programme for this year’s Conference. The winner of the Young Interpreters Award, a final year student of interpretation studies, will be given the opportunity to share with the participants a speech on “Interpretation: the added value of a profession”
There will be two discussion panels made up of experts presenting their ideas about the importance of multilingualism and broader accessibility thanks to interpretation, which will be followed by a debate with the audience.
The floor will also be given to universities during an open debate. Furthermore, it will be an opportunity to present some of the projects carried out by universities on how to prepare students to access the profession.
